There are iconic fine dining destinations in Ibiza, and then, there is Amalur. The elegant restaurant – set in a chic finca on the road from Ibiza to Santa Gertrudis – has been attracting discerning locals and travellers since its inception in 1981 and in 2021, the legendary establishment underwent a masterful evolution, with respect to its rich culinary and cultural heritage while stepping into a new chapter.

With renowned restaurateur Francesco Manzoli (of Formentera’s Can Carlos fame) at the helm, Amalur enters its fourth decade of gastronomy with style, grace and an elevated Italian influenced menu. The Ibiza fine dining restaurant’s exterior is unmissable, courtesy of a newly painted blue hue inspired by the Balearic Sea and sky; inside, the classically decorated dining room has been tastefully decorated to allow its sweeping valley views to shine. In 2023, the restaurant’s spacious terrace was meticulously landscaped and transformed into a stunning garden dining room, evoking timeless Italian glamour and style.

Step over the threshold and an authentic sense of Italian warmth, passion and hospitality is ever-present. Each of the team members at Amalur have been selected for their experience, knowledge and well-honed intuition, knowing when you need them, invisible when you don’t. Fine dining is at the heart of the experience, but in a timeless Italian way – guests are welcomed in as family, invited to settle in for the evening and savour the journey.

A beautifully hand-written menu explains the Ibiza fine dining restaurant’s ethos of creating high-end cuisine using only the freshest local produce available. Highly experienced chef Antonio Borriello, whose culinary journey includes stints at Michelin-starred Leoni, plus Piccola Cucina, Casa Tu Miami and the Miami Four Seasons Hotel, is behind the creative, contemporary and colourful plates that come from the Amalur kitchen – dishes that taste as every bit as exquisite as they look.

There is something for everyone at Amalur – a precise level of quality echoes across the entire menu. From fresh tartars and silky seafood to start, followed by traditional Italian pasta – think classic pappardelle and linguine to flavour-filled ravioli and plump tortelli made in-house daily. Second courses traverse vegan, vegetarian, fresh fish and grilled meat options, evolving regularly throughout the year to match the seasons.

Open 365 days a year, this Ibiza fine dining restaurant is a place to celebrate the moments of life – no matter how big or small – with good friends and family, immersed in sophistication and surrounded in style.
