It’s been five years since 7Pines Resort Ibiza threw one of the most-talked about parties the island has ever seen, and to celebrate their milestone fifth anniversary, the luxurious west coast resort pulled out all the stops yet again. The recent Extravaganza party saw the who’s who of Ibiza – and some of the resort’s most loyal guests – gather together before the spellbinding silhouette of Es Vedrá to celebrate the occasion, meet the faces behind the brand’s success, to discover the exciting new developments for 2023 and of course, to toast to the next five years!

Perched on a dramatic clifftop on the island’s southwestern tip, the picturesque resort is akin to a mini Ibicenco village, and an ultra-luxurious one at that. Pretty little lanes lined with stylish suites wind their way across the grounds, meandering between two beautiful swimming pools – the now-iconic Infinity Pool and the family friendly Laguna Pool – plus destination restaurants, a heavenly spa and the must-shop boutique. And this season – as 7Pines Resort Ibiza, part of Destination by Hyatt, enters the next phase of its evolution – the introduction of its all-new luxury villas promises to ensure all eyes are on this corner of the island.

Designed by 7Pines Resort Ibiza’s own architectural team, alongside local sustainability experts, Terravita, the lavish new villas – named Villa Alba and Villa Aurora – are the perfect blend of relaxed bohemian cool and contemporary style. Boasting floor-to-ceiling windows, an abundance of alfresco space that’s home to a private glass swimming pool, lush garden terrace and Jacuzzi, everything is inspired by the irresistible charm of Mediterranean indoor-outdoor living. Interiors are furnished with natural materials including linen, rattan, oak and quartzite stone, so nature never feels far away, and guests also receive access to a range of exclusive benefits, including luxury transportation, private chefs, fitness trainers and a Clefs d’Or concierge service.

Ideal for families and groups seeking discretion, space or a villa-style holiday complete with the benefits and services of a five-star resort, Villa Alba and Villa Aurora add further to the appeal of 7Pines Resort Ibiza. Beyond the additional luxe dwellings are a host of other reasons to visit the resort this summer, whether as a visitor or guest, from spectacular sunsets, a series of culinary events and all-new tasting menus, to the island’s coolest (and most sustainable) kids’ club and a host of wellbeing experiences, new spa treatments and highly skilled visiting wellness practitioners.

Exciting news from the 7Pines Resort Ibiza kitchen – helmed by executive chef Andrés Fernández – this summer is that The View, the hotel’s in-house fine dining destination was recently included in esteemed MICHELIN Guide (Spain) for the first time in addition to being awarded one Sol in the prestigious Repsol Guide. All the more reasons to visit! A series of 4-Hand Dinners, where Fernández is joined by some of the most talented chefs from around the globe, are planned for the season, where the duos will curate one-night-only tasting menus served with the sommelier’s suggestions, along with a side of panoramic sea views. Be sure to book early to get a table for the next event on July 30, 2023, when Spanish Michelin-starred chef Cristobal Muñoz of Ambivium restaurant fame steps up to the hot plate.

Highlights from the new tasting menus at The View includes a delectable tuna otoro with Osetra caviar, avocado and dashi; langoustine with bone marrow, plankton and topinambur; a’Valles de Esla’ ox tenderloin and more. The vegetarian option is brimming with culinary creativity with bites like the stacciatella di bufala with aubergine and pomegranate; chicoree with carob beer, buckwheat and fennel, plus plump and juicy mushrooms with tarragon and black garlic winning praise. Meanwhile, over on the Pershing Yacht Terrace, where striking Es Vedrá views are accompanied by Japanese Izakaya-style plates and exotic cocktails, 7Pines Resort Ibiza is introducing a new Sushi Nights concept, every Tuesday and Friday between June 27 and September 15, with a live DJ present to soundtrack the setting sun.

Speaking of the sunset, the resort’s beloved Sunset Rituals continue to take place in Cone Club every evening, as a DJ spins Balearic beats, concluding with a gong ceremony at the very moment the sun sinks into the Mediterranean Sea. Tuck into tasty tapas or take your tastebuds on a tour of the Med, via the Levant – and be sure to save room for the star of this season’s show the chocolate, apricot and almond based Five-year Anniversary 7Pines Signature Dessert. It’s a magical boho-luxe setting, away from the crowds associated with the west coast sunset scene – truly in a league of its own.

After the feasting comes the pampering, as 7Pines Resort Ibiza welcomes a panel of wellbeing experts to its heavenly Pure Seven spa over the course of the summer. The peaceful haven channels the invigorating energy of the island, and throughout June, July and August, four specialist therapists descend for week-long Wellness Masters Series visits that are designed to inspire, relax and rejuvenate. Stefano Beconcini, physicist and Biomechanics and Manual Therapies expert kicks things off between June 16 and 26 – years of research led him to the creation of his own soft tissue manipulation method, one that reestablishes the natural equilibrium of the body, encouraging it to get fit quickly and live without pain.

Then, between July 7 and 13, Spanish-certified Pilates instructor and personal trainer Ramon Sanchez is making Pure Seven his temporary Balearic residence. He’ll be introducing his own personal method of ‘rasaGotraining and ballet’, designed to sculpt the body by combining the dynamics of fitness and the abdominal control of Pilates and ballet. Watsu specialist Fernando Gallego-Suarez will also host a residency on July 28, 29 and 30, offering guests private aquatic therapy at the resort’s stunning infinity pool. Finally, master of Healing Arts Andrew Rosenstock arrives on August 5, sharing treatments including Deep Structural Bodywork, Nervous System Regulation, and an Abdominal detox massage, until August 12.
