INTERIORS
The front room of this stunning Ibiza villa was once the porxo – a traditional space used by the farm’s family as a workshop, dining area and sometimes stable. Today, it’s a peaceful room full of sunlight and features an incredible piece of statement art. The spacious kitchen inevitably becomes the heart of the home, ideal for snacking and chatting, and the adjacent long wooden dining table sets the scene for shared meals and celebrations alike. Smooth terrazzo flooring weaves between the rooms, where natural sunlight emphasises original features such as textured whitewashed walls and honeyed wood beams. After dark, dramatic lighting casts a romantic glow over antique pieces juxtaposed by a touch of mid-century elegance and a dash of industrial chic. Each of the four air-conditioned bedrooms at Can Xicu are kitted out with plush bedding and en-suite bathrooms – chic, sophisticated and yet homely at the same time.
EXTERIORS
A charming stone pathway winds its way past fruit trees towards the entrance of Can Xicu, where the old-style covered porch houses a beautiful wooden table fit for languid alfresco meals or a spirited game of cards.
