Set on the golden sands of Cala Molí on the island’s southwest coast, El Silencio Ibiza became one of the island’s most in-demand beach clubs from the minute it opened its doors in 2021. Founded by Arnaud Frisch – owner and creator of the famed Parisian nightclub of the same name – the Ibiza beach restaurant is an oasis of laid-back elegance, designed as a place where local and global creatives could come together beneath the Balearic sun and stars to celebrate individuality, connection and freedom.

Made up of three unique spaces – the sandy-floored Ibiza beach restaurant, a retro-chic poolside area and a one-of-a-kind chill-out and art installation space – El Silencio Ibiza was designed by Balearic architecture firm Moredesign in homage to the island’s past. Ibiza’s golden sunlight streams into the restaurant through gnarled ancient Sabina beams, casting its dappled light on rustic wooden tables, oversized raffia pendant lamps and the soft, sandy floor. From lunchtime, through sunset, until the moon rises high above the sea, diners are invited to settle in and soak up the convivial ambience…

In 2022, world-renowned Argentinian chef Mauro Colagreco (of Michelin starred restaurants Mirazur on the Côte d’Azur, and Ceto in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin) steps into the El Silencio Ibiza kitchen, alongside his long-time friend and television chef Federico Desseno. Sharing a passion for open fire cooking, the chefs have devised a new lunch and dinner menu for the Ibiza beach restaurant that is brimming with flavour and flair, ranging from mouth-watering vegetarian creations creating with Desseno’s famed clay-pot cooking techniques, to the finest cuts of meat, fresh fish and succulent seafood – all complemented with an abundance of Ibiza’s local produce.

Meanwhile, on the chilled-out pool terrace and cocktail lounge adjacent to the restaurant, chef Guillaume Sanchez has created a poolside menu that’s ideal to satisfy cravings on hot summer days. Think tasty pizzas, flavour-filled sandwiches, hearty salads and even empañadas (inspired by his Argentinian collegues). It’s here on the poolside of the Ibiza beach restaurant, there will be special guest DJs, events, pop-ups, art installations and gatherings over the course of the season – all the more reason to visit!

Of course, no day at an Ibiza beach restaurant is complete without a cocktail in hand, especially at the magical sunset hour over Cala Molí. El Silencio Ibiza has enlisted another globally renowned master of his craft, French-Irish master mixologist Remy Savage, to add a certain je ne sais quoi to the cocktail menu. Pushing boundaries with flavours, creating surprises with unique ingredients and capturing a feeling in a glass is what Savage – and indeed, El Silencio Ibiza – is all about.

With a new art installation soon to be unveiled by Brazilian artist Samuel de Saboia that promises to fill the space with joy, dreams and contemplation, there’s no finer Ibiza beach restaurant to while away the summer days and nights this season. El Silencio Ibiza is the proverbial somewhere over the rainbow – where the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true.
