Designed by Rolf Blakstad, director of the revered island firm, Blakstad Architects and Design Consultants, Can Terra embodies quintessential Ibiza style through a blend of traditional and modern elements. The Ibiza villa’s iconic design is understated yet striking, an echo of island’s classic aesthetic brought up to the standards of a contemporary traveller. Natural materials such as honey-hued stone, wood-beamed ceilings and pebble-set flooring create an organic earthy feel throughout the property. Open, airy spaces are bathed in natural light, with an atrium-style living room opening up to meet the outdoor spaces, blurring the lines between indoor and outdoor living. Fresh air flows freely, and a beautiful skylight ensures the home is always illuminated by the Balearic sun, and an atmosphere of peace and tranquillity permeates every corner of the home and its landscape.
INTERIORS
The chic interiors at Can Terra are designed with both comfort and style in mind. The open-plan living space is a central feature of the Ibiza villa, with floor-to-ceiling windows and a skylight that let in ample sunlight and provide views of the lush landscapes beyond. The villa is equipped with a well-appointed kitchen featuring modern appliances, two fridges, a water-boiling Quooker tap and an osmosis-filtered drinking water system. The dining area is perfectly positioned to enjoy views of the gardens and pool, while a cosy cinema room is tucked away for quieter evenings – a perfect place to cosy up with little ones (or loved ones!) for movies nights.
