Mark Broadbent & Friends in Jara at The Standard, Ibiza
Island stalwart, club promoter, music programmer, all-round raconteur and one half of the DJ duo, The Brothers Grim, Mark Broadbent invites a collective of his musically inclined friends to spin laid-back Balearic goodness in Jara, the ground-floor restaurant at The Standard, Ibiza, from 8pm every Thursday night in the Ibiza winter. Set right in the heart of Vara de Rey in Ibiza town, the chic boutique hotel becomes the epicentre of the old town’s social scene at this time of year, and island residents know the weekend starts right here.
Book a table in Jara for a delicious dinner, perch on a stool at the bar for a craft cocktail or two, or get cosy around a heater on the alfresco terrace, and it won’t be long before you’ve met, and made, a friend or two yourself. Reservations are recommended for dining but not essential for the bar – all are welcome to drop in any time.
