As 2024 finally comes to a close, it’s the perfect time to gather your loved ones and bid farewell to the old year and welcome the new! Aguamadera Ibiza, the beautiful Agroturismo, farm and restaurant hidden away in the hills on the east coast of Ibiza, opens its doors to the island community and visitors from around the world on New Year’s Eve, welcoming diners for a festive feast and a celebration in the hotel’s stunning firewood restaurant, ‘La Era’.
The New Year’s Eve menu is 130€ per person, excluding drinks, and promises to be a feast that delights all the senses and showcases chef Gonzalo Cerrato Laguna’s mastery of cooking on an open flame. Start with a mushroom and caramelised onion infusion, followed by braised fennel and carrot reduction. Tuck into a pickled partridge tartlet, succulent scallops with fermented plantain, smoked butter and rue oil, and brioche with island red shrimp crudo and chilli oil, before moving onto the main event, suckling lamb that’s been gently kissed by the coals. Dessert comes in the form of white chocolate ganache with cauliflower mousse and lime peel, leading up to the magical moment at midnight when it’s time to set your intentions for 2025. Music comes courtesy of beloved Ibiza DJ Cyril Claudel, who’ll be spinning a special vinyl-only set for the occasion. Reservations essential.
