Spending Christmas by the sea is the dream of many and here in Ibiza, waterside locations don’t come better than CBbC Marina Sta Eulalia, an elegant restaurant created by the renowned CBbC Group and recognised by the esteemed Repsol Guide. On Christmas Eve, gather your loved ones and take a seat overlooking the gently rocking luxury yachts as cosy firelight flickers across the windows of the glass-fronted restaurant, and savour the indulgent set menu from 9pm for 90€ per person (including drinks).
Aperitivos include flambéed hamachi with truffle and wild asparagus buds; Simmental tataki brioche with foie; and cecina de Léon croquetas, before the starter of Cantabrian hake with parsnip purée, smoked onion extract and fennel crudite. The first course is a creamy squid rice with shiitake mushrooms, basil juice and kimchi emulsion followed by a lemon sorbet intermezzo to cleanse the palate before the star dish, a capon stuffed with butifarra and served with carrot purée, dill and glazed shallots. Flame-grilled pineapple and mascarpone drizzled with Liquor 43 completes the culinary experience – joy to the world!
