Roca Llisa, Ibiza
Casa Club
Nestled beside the island’s only golf course, Casa Club is a tranquil sanctuary where reimagined Spanish cuisine is served in a stylish and bucolic setting.
Nestled on the cusp of the white isle’s only golf course, this stylish new Ibiza restaurant is housed in what was the original Roca Llisa clubhouse, transformed into a place where time stands still and magic happens. Casa Club boasts unparalleled views of the deep green fairways and hills beyond while the contemporary spaces exude a quiet Mediterranean-inspired luxury – the perfect place for a sunny breakfast, laid-back lunch or special event.
The Casa Club dining room opens on two sides, creating a seamless transition from the interior to the charming patio. Natural fibre lanterns hang from mature mulberry trees that shade tables scattered across the Ibiza restaurant’s stone terrace. Inside, diners sit beneath stunning artworks supplied by island-based art space, Soleille Gallery, while oversized picture windows look over lush planting and a fireplace sets the scene for a cosy off-season retreat.
Start the day with a Casa Club breakfast, choosing from a selection of freshly made juices before tucking into a bowl of granola, seasonal fruits and yoghurt scattered with cacao nibs. As lunch approaches, spice things up with a Margarita on the rocks, a refreshing spritz, or skip the alcohol altogether and choose the Golfer Mocktail made with fresh grapefruit. Sip away while basking in the tranquil atmosphere as seasoned golfers stroll by and mini champions-to-be attend their lessons just steps away from this picturesque Ibiza restaurant.
Based on everyone’s favourite Spanish classics, the ingredient-led, seasonal menu is designed to be enjoyed in classic Ibiza fashion – shared with good company. Order a round of pan con tomate or sourdough with aioli or before deciding what comes next. A set of Casa Club gildas are a must for the table, while other starters include golden homemade croquetas, crispy battered calamari with the house tartare and a delicious, caramelised chorizo with butter beans and tomato. The Ibiza restaurant boasts three flavour-packed salads – a Caesar with grilled chicken, the traditional Payesa with potato, tuna belly, peppers and crunchy croutons, plus a spring salad with Belgian endive, rocket, crumbled feta, roast sweet potato and a scattering of toasted seeds.
Mains include a mouth-wateringly good paella chock-full of red prawn, or black rice with tender octopus and smoky-yet-sweet sobrasada. For those who’ve never tried fideuà, this Ibiza restaurant is the place to do it. Toasted vermicelli is cooked in a seafood stock and served with baby squid and crispy pork crackling. Dishes a la parrilla (grilled) feature decadent meats like the char-grilled rib-eye steak served with red peppers and chimichurri, and a corn-fed, free-range chicken marinated in butter and sage. Casa Club also specialises in whole fish, with the sea bass doused in Basque-inspired Agua de Lourdes salsa a standout choice – grilled over an open flame, it is expertly filleted at your table. Just be sure to leave room for at least one of the postres caseros (homemade desserts).
Open all year from 8am until 8pm, this stunning Ibiza restaurant is also equipped to host special events from work meetings and presentations to birthday parties and gatherings for no reason in particular. With its palpable authenticity, there are multiple reasons why Casa Club is an under-the-radar gem but it’s unlikely to stay secret for much longer.
