A fresh chapter – W Ibiza
A stylish revamp, new dining concepts and an exciting programme of events see this Santa Eulalia resort start the season with a bang.
Summer has well and truly arrived on the white isle and nowhere is this more obvious than on the seaside promenade of Santa Eulalia, where the famous W Ibiza resort is stepping into the 2026 season with a buzzing, renewed energy. During the off-season, the dedicated team behind the scenes worked tirelessly to reinvent several areas across the hotel ahead of the reopening, creating a plethora of new concepts for guests and visitors to experience on their next visit.

The entrance, lobby and W Lounge at W Ibiza have all been updated as part of the first phase of the resort’s renovation project, with the hotel leaning into a Mediterranean-led aesthetic inspired by the Ibiza coastline, surrounding landscape and easy pace of east-side holidays. Around the pool, plush new loungers and Balinese-style daybeds create mellow corners for soaking up the sun’s rays, creating the perfect environment for long, lazy afternoons interrupted only by dips in the pool and sips on icy cold drinks.
This season, much of the new energy at W Ibiza centres around the hotel’s evolving programme of events and collaborations. Full moon gatherings, Pride celebrations, wellness sessions, creative workshops, exclusive dinners and cultural events – alongside partnerships with local galleries, artists and island collectives – bring an energising agenda into the resort’s stylish spaces, from morning until late evening.

One of the season’s biggest evolutions can be found at Yellow Fish, the hotel’s beachside restaurant. Just steps away from W Ibiza, and also steps away from the golden sand, this is a place where aperitivos drift easily into dinner. The venue has embraced its new chapter as an evening-only, seafood-focused restaurant featuring Mediterranean flavours, great music and long nights overlooking the starlit sea.
Open daily from 4pm until 11pm, guests start with spritzes, bubbles, chilled wines and cocktails before diving into the delectable menu. Fill the table with delectable sharing plates such as the lemon-infused shrimp carpaccio; sea bass ceviche; and grilled carabineros. Layered seafood platters dominate the main dishes but if curiosity wins, tuck into the catch of the day roasted over an open flame for melt-in-the-mouth flavours. Carnivores will appreciate succulent grilled meats while plant-based diners will revel in a host of zingy dishes featuring island-grown vegetables.
Thursdays brings the fiesta to Yellow Fish, with the launch of S’Aperitiu; a new weekly gathering inspired by Ibiza’s after-work and après-beach culture, pairing cocktails, music and sunset drinks with collaborations involving local wineries, mixologists and art from local creative hub, Olas Gallery. Fridays see dinners soundtracked by vinyl sets from some of the island’s very best DJs, while Saturdays welcome Heritage collaborations, in keeping with the hotel’s growing focus on community-led programming.
Back on the paseo, adjacent to W Ibiza, STEPS embraces the spirit of a classic Italian trattoria. Start with cicchetti – often described as Venetian tapas, these small morsels served on crusty bread are made for sharing. Pizzas are crafted from 24-hour slow-fermented dough baked in a classic Moretti oven and topped with a combination of Italian ingredients and locally sourced produce. Signature favourites such as the Ibiza XXX – adorned with spicy tomato ‘nduja, sobrasada, stracciatella, habanero jam, mint, and olive powder – and the Bufala y Jamón with roasted tomato gel, serrano ham, buffalo mozzarella and sun-dried tomato cream remain on the menu, while mouth-watering bruschetta, handmade pastas and ice-cold granitas bring an extra touch of la dolce vita to the pretty sun dappled space.
Special culinary events at STEPS at W Ibiza include Mani in Pasta on Wednesday evenings, where guests join the hotel’s pizzaiolo to shape and bake their own pizzas before settling in for dinner and drinks. Sundays bring Granita al Tramonto sessions featuring freshly shaved fruit granitas finished with limoncello or prosecco, slurped while music drifts across the terrace at sunset. Later in the season, STEPS celebrates Ferragosto – the traditional Italian festival marking the height of summer. A unique menu will be presented alongside live music for a fun-filled evening inspired by one of Italy’s best-loved summer rituals.

Glow rooftop continues to play a central role in the W Ibiza social calendar. Monthly full moon gatherings show-off the 360-degree views and combine cocktails, DJs and moonrise ceremonies overlooking the Mediterranean, while August brings one of the summer’s most anticipated moments: a once-in-a-life-time solar event marking the first visible eclipse from Ibiza in over a century. Guests will be invited to witness this rare celestial moment by joining an excursion to one of the island’s most magical viewing locations.
W Ibiza continues to grow its relationship with the island’s creatives via monthly collaborations with local galleries that transform W Lounge into a meeting point for art, design and conversation. Further events connect wellness and local culture throughout the season and in September, the resort launches Run the Island – a series of community-focused running gatherings combining seaside routes with post-run feasts, music and social meetups back at the hotel.
As the sun shines over Santa Eulalia this summer, W Ibiza is once again bringing plenty of buzz to the waterfront. Between seafood suppers and sunset aperitivos, cosmic celebrations and gourmet encounters, art and design – not to mention simply lazing around the pool or strolling on the seashore – there are now even more reasons for locals, visitors and guests to spend their summer days and nights at W Ibiza.
