Perfectly positioned on the unspoilt sandy shores of Cala Nova is stylish and sophisticated Ibiza beach restaurant, Aiyanna Ibiza, boasting panoramic sea views. Sitting in perfect harmony with its rustic natural surrounds, the popular seafront eatery is decorated in an earthy colour palette and punctuated with pops of colour courtesy of its famous parasols, made from the barriletes (giant kites from Guatemala).
Open for morning yoga (Monday to Friday), breakfast, lunch and dinner daily throughout the season, and created by the team behind the iconic Amante Ibiza, the stunning sister concept has deservedly earned its reputation as the premier fine dining destination on the island’s east coast. The Ibiza beach restaurant is also available for private hire, providing a truly unforgettable island setting for weddings and events. Since it first opened in 2017, the Aiyanna Ibiza team have delivered exceptional service and incredible food in a truly chic and unique setting, and this season, the bar has been raised on every level.
Art director and interior designer, Mauricio Gonçalves, gives the lounge area, bar and chill-out areas at the gorgeous Ibiza beach restaurant a contemporary makeover each year – one that melds perfectly with the existing interior design. Low-slung sofas covered in plush cushions, natural curtains that dance in the wind, textured rugs layered across the floor, terracotta lattice elements and custom-designed clay lamps, plus eye-catching quirky Picasso-esque paintings and installations that complement the colourful wall mural draw you in to the Aiyanna Ibiza interior – and once you’re inside, you’ll never want to leave.
Good thing is, you won’t have to! Open from 10.30am and running all the way until midnight, the full menu – along with some seriously irresistible bespoke cocktails like the Slow Breeze or Espresso-Missú – is served to the sofas, and you’re welcome to get cosy. Breakfast at Aiyanna Ibiza is a laid-back affair, with delicious, healthy and hearty options like shakshuka served alongside eggs, fruit, smoothies and of course, fresh-brewed coffee. Afterwards, wander down to the water – the Ibiza beach restaurant is just steps away from the sand – and then head back up… just in time for lunch!
Kitchen service is non-stop from 12.30pm until 11pm, and the cuisine concept at the Ibiza beach restaurant is a fresh, innovative take on traditional Mediterranean fare, with flashes of international flavours, zesty spices and cutting-edge techniques. Chef Guido Cipollini has upped the culinary ante with his latest menu creations, with something to suite all appetites on the extensive Aiyanna Ibiza menu. Many ingredients are plucked daily from the restaurant’s organic vegetable garden while the freshest fish and meat are sourced from the island’s best suppliers
Settle in for a languid lunch with sparkling waves in the distance, and take your pick from starters such as the San Marzano tomato tartare – served with a lightly pickled dressing, tonnata sauce and topped with a ‘carta di musica’ crisp – or the burrata panacotta with smoked sardines and tomato compote. Grilled watermelon is an Aiyanna Ibiza house staple: glazed with agave and served with rocket, toasted almonds and cured Ibicencan goat cheese, it’s ideal for sharing, but also easy to keep it to yourself. Mains at the Ibiza beach restaurant include veggie-friendly options like roasted cauliflower with Romanesco, miso sauce, lime, crushed cashew nuts and agave; and a delectable homemade aubergine and pecorino ravioli with lemon butter and roasted cherry tomatoes.
Seafood lovers will adore the grilled octopus timbal, layered with sweet potato parmentier and finished with a drizzling of smoked paprika alioli; and the Cantabrian cod fillet confit, while carnivores will find it hard to choose between the chargrilled chicken with zaatar; the succulent veal rib tagliata and, of course, Aiyanna’s classic burger, crafted using Galician beef and topped with a truffle mayonnaise. Whatever you do, save room for dessert – the Ibiza beach restaurant boasts some of the island’s best sweet treats. Whether you’re arriving early for a pre-beach fuel-up or looking to indulge in a long and lazy late lunch that carries through until golden hour, Aiyanna Ibiza is the perfect beachfront location.
