Every meal at stylish and cosy fine dining destination Amalur is a celebration, and the restaurant’s twist on the traditional menu del día concept this wintertime is no different. Served between 1pm and 3.30pm daily, the idea is that you ‘make your own menu’ for just 35€ per person, choosing from an array of delectable Italian-influenced options for starters, mains and desserts – all the more reason to visit the Santa Gertrudis restaurant regularly this winter.

Gather in the warm and welcoming interior or bask in the winter sunshine on the terrace and get set to indulge in an amazing three-course experience that’s tailored to your very own tastes. Starters include the chef’s signature artichokes stuffed with parmesan and pecorino; an expertly prepared parmigiana; ceviche oysters; seabass toast; carpaccio de sirvia; the Italian classic, vitello tonnato, and a sublime beef tartare with smoked foie gras.

For mains, the pasta options are plentiful and include the perfect simplicity of a homemade spaghetti pomodoro; the pappardella de la casa, which includes Ibizan pumpkin and sweet gorgonzola, or ravioli del plin with white ragu, almonds and potato foam among others. Alternatives include the house specialty, ‘spianata Can Carlos’ – a warm beef carpaccio with laurel, rosemary and sage – plus Formentera squid served in its ink. Pizza lovers will delight in the caprese with mozzarella burrata; or the Nerano with courgette, provolone, pesto and mint. Desserts are ever-changing, and the vibe at Amalur is always sophisticated, elegant and social – an elevated winter menu for discerning island foodies.
