‘Tis the season to be joyful, and beautiful farm-to-table restaurant Juntos House, in the charming little countryside pueblo of San Mateo, has had a sustainable festive makeover courtesy of the experts at The Floral Studio Ibiza, just in time for the holidays. Inspired by the beauty of mistletoe and wheat sheaves, the understated natural decorations echo the venue’s down-to-earth ethos, bringing beauty, warmth and natural charm to every corner of the venue, from the sunny terrace to the cosy interior – making it even more of a perfect place to gather your nearest and dearest to share a meal, make memories and maybe even indulge in a little retail therapy this winter.
Juntos translates to ‘together’ in Spanish and over Christmas and New Year, the entire team at Juntos House are embracing the spirit of the season – which they’ve dubbed ‘Juntos Joyful Season’ – to celebrate this time of togetherness with everyone who crosses the threshold. As the year winds down, it’s the time for long lunches with friends and the restaurant is open in the daytime on Monday December 23, Christmas Eve, and as a very special treat, on Christmas Day. Arrive fashionably early to peruse the Juntos Boutique (it’s open from midday until 6pm) for last-minute gifts or simply to treat yourself to a gift, then settle in for a lovely long lunch when the kitchen opens at 1pm.
Famed for using seasonal, locally sourced ingredients – most of which are sourced from the nearby Juntos Farm – to create a delectable and ever-evolving menu made up of delicious sharing plates and signature dishes, the clubhouse style eatery has something for everyone, including concoctions with distinctive seasonal flavours conjured up in the cocktail bar too! The new winter menu at Juntos House is brimming with winter warming dishes and festive flavours alike, all perfect to wash down with a glass (or three) of organic wine – just be sure to save room for the restaurant’s famously decadent desserts and espresso martinis. Is it really the holidays without one?
When Boxing Day rolls around, Juntos House makes the perfect place to reconvene by the cosy, crackling open fireplace and catch up on all the post-Christmas news, and the restaurant is open for lunch and dinner from Thursday December 26 to Sunday December 29. As the clock slowly edges towards 2025, there are two more days to grab lunch (Monday December 30 and Tuesday December 31), and once you’ve rung in the new year, tables are available for lunch and dinner from Wednesday December 01 until Saturday December 04, then lunch again until the 6th, after which the well-deserving Juntos House team will take a little break until January 14.
