Set in the iconic main square of Ibiza town, a cool café vibe flows from the stylish interior of La Cava Ibiza onto its bright and sunny terrace. Serving lunch and dinner to a young, hip and professional crowd, the buzzy atmosphere makes it the perfect Ibiza restaurant to grab a bite, a business lunch or some after work tapas in the island’s capital city.

Inside the urban-inspired Ibiza restaurant – part of the legendary Mambo Group – rattan lampshades cast intimate pools of light down the long seating space, while distinct black and white tiles on the bar add a city ambience. An open-kitchen offers a snapshot of the creativity going on behind the scenes at La Cava Ibiza, while out on the terrace, colourful pots of cacti are complemented by huge leafy trees.

From midday onwards, the Ibiza restaurant serves up a creative tapas menu inspired by the cuisine from north of Spain including the incredible crunchy calamari ‘bocata’ (sandwich), creamy croquetas to die for including Iberian ham or leek and smoked aubergine, classics like a Spanish tortilla (potato omelette), fiery patatas bravas and padron peppers. The Burrata salad is a treat, broken eggs with Arbizu txistorra (local sausage) is a locals’ fave and La Cava regulars also know the house burger is one of the best in town. And then there’s the impressive steak tartare…

There’s also a selection of ‘tapas from the sea’ at La Cava, including the much-loved fried calamari, a traditional ceviche, the more-ish fried anchovies with padron peppers, or the tangy marinated version served with candied peppers. A Kantabrica salad, smoked sardine escalivada and more echo the flavours of the Med, and taste even better with a side of the Ibiza restaurant‘s Cristal bread with tomato and alioli.

For a more substantial meal, whether by day or by night, try the mouthwatering baked black pork sobrasada and Manchego cheese, or tuck into the hearty albondigas (beef meatballs), order some grilled chicken wings to share or go all-in with Ibiza restaurant’s grilled bone-in rib-eye. Whatever your taste, whatever your appetite, there is always something to please at La Cava Ibiza.
