Just steps from the sandy shores of Santa Eulalia beach, Olas Gallery is a bright and airy Ibiza art gallery dedicated to showcasing the work of local artists and makers. Founded and curated by long-time Ibiza resident and photographer Sofia Gomez Fonzo, this creative hub is a warm and welcoming space where visitors and locals alike can discover the creative side of the island. Rotating exhibitions, thoughtfully handcrafted gifts and a charming patio with a sea view all combine to celebrate the artistic spirit of Ibiza.

Sofia has been documenting life on the island since arriving from her native Chile in 2011. From weddings, portraits and editorials to travel and landscapes, her photography has spanned all aspects of Ibiza’s culture, lifestyle and natural beauty. Deeply embedded in the local art scene, she has helped shape the island’s creative community and Olas Gallery was born from her vision to build an inclusive Ibiza gallery, where visual stories of the island are shared and creative connections are made.

The inaugural exhibition at Olas Gallery, We Live On An Island, featured ethereal paintings by Helen Sadler, striking aerial photography by Aguascopio, hand-stitched maps by Liz Kueneke and remarkable underwater photos and cyanotype seascapes by Sarah G. Tur along with Sofia’s own evocative landscapes. The exhibition changes on a monthly basis and will always feature works from local talents. The shelves of this Ibiza art gallery are equally as fascinating as the art. From photography and painting to textile art, fanzines, books and tarot cards – there’s something for everyone.

After browsing the latest works on show at this stylish Ibiza gallery, and perhaps even choosing a piece to take home, explore the boutique’s array of intriguing objects. Dive into books by local inspirational thinker Susie Pearl, leaf through Luana Failla’s photobook on female chefs and fall in love with hand-illustrated tales by Joanna Hruby. For esoteric musings, there are runes and tarot crafted by Melchior Arnold, smudge sticks and candles from Island Witchcraft, rare perfume oils by Evelyn Náon and oracle cards by Joelle and Sacha, all of it inspired by the history, beauty and energy of the island. Postcards, ceramics, prints, tote bags and more – Olas Gallery is a cornucopia of wonder.

Open year-round from Wednesday to Sunday, Olas Gallery is an Ibiza art gallery designed as a place to gather where art and the island are cojoined and collectors, dreamers and makers converge.
