This multidisciplinary design studio spanning landscape design, architecture, styling and lighting, is headed up by Terravita co-founder Jason Watson Todd and a collection of uniquely talented specialists. Sat at the forefront of outstanding Ibiza architecture, this team proves time and time again that beautiful homes needn’t cost the earth. Using a combination of the latest technologies, newest materials and innovative ideas, Terravita takes your renovation or new build from a seed of an idea and grows it into a stylish, energy efficient home, inside and out, with the ultimate aim of creating living landscapes — spaces in which to live, thrive and enjoy.

Committed to finding solutions that are both sustainable and convenient for their client’s lifestyle, Terravita follows the principles of two of the most respected design institutions in the world. The US Green Building Council monitors the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) program – a strict rating system that exemplifies best practice in design and construction. Meanwhile, Passivhaus, founded in Germany, monitors homes built to an exacting standard with a certification system and a comprehensive quality assurance process. One of the firm’s Ibiza-based projects, Can Tanca, reached the coveted ratings of Passivhaus Premium and BREEAM Excellent together with a special mention in the 2022 Post-Construction category.

These days it is impossible to ignore the environmental impacts of our modern lifestyles, but now that new materials and technologies segue so seamlessly into contemporary and traditional styles, there is no reason not to go green. Terravita approaches each project – be it Ibiza architecture, a new build, renovation or garden design – with creative flair that’s matched by meticulous planning and a penchant for problem solving. The team recently transformed the gardens on Sa Ferradura, a small, private peninsula off Ibiza’s coast, by importing 6,000 tons of local stone alongside fully grown olive and pine trees and a solitary palm tree, chosen specifically for its tropical beach-style silhouette.

Pragmatism is at the forefront of every Terravita design, ensuring every project fits the personalities and lifestyles of the client while remaining low impact and respectful of the environment — even on a grand scale — another of the team’s latest projects included the design and execution of 25,000 square metres of landscape gardens. The result is a style synonymous with Ibiza architecture that’s firmly rooted in contemporary design – one that supports energy efficiency, and puts forth a global mindset at local scale, creating one-of-a-kind homes imbued with creative solutions. Terravita’s ethos is the future.
