The moustaches are out, the champagne’s on ice and the mirror ball is ready to spin – Freddie Rocks is back. Every year, Pikes Ibiza pays homage to the still-talked-about night back in 1987 when Freddie Mercury turned 41 in the most fantastic fashion possible – by hosting an exclusive birthday bash at the hotel. This year’s Freddie Rocks event falls on what would have been the Queen frontman’s 79th birthday and the 38th anniversary of the legendary Pikes party, and true to form, the house will once again be filled with hundreds of fabulous people, plenty of flamboyant costumes and most importantly, big-hearted generosity.
Freddie Rocks is a party with a heart, and entry comes with two conditions: first of all, all partygoers are asked to dig deep and make a charitable donation to Mercury Phoenix Trust, the charity founded by Mercury’s Queen bandmates and manager Jim Beach, to support the fight against HIV and AIDS. Secondly – you’ve got to rock a moustache. Real, fake, painted or glittered, there is a strict no ‘tash, no entry door policy, though the Pikes team will be happy to draw one on you at the door if you forget yours. Expect big-name surprise DJs, jaw-dropping performances and a dancefloor full of Freddie lookalikes, all coming together to sing, strut and give. Register for guestlist now, because this is one in-demand night that is guaranteed to rock you.
