Pikes Ibiza

Like a mythical phoenix, the Ibiza institution of Pikes has been revived into a luxury hotel. With total respect to its hard partying heritage plus loving attention to detail, Ibiza Rocks founder Andy McKay recreated Pikes in 2011 – a modern incarnation of an old school classic – and the venue has since become (once again), one of the island’s most-loved institutions.

From the outside, the 500-year old property retains its rustic charm with eccentric talking points like whimsical illustrations and quirky installations. The tennis court is now a blazing hot pink, while the legendary swimming pool (of Wham’s Club Tropicana fame) remains unchanged.

New life is breathed into the 26 stylish rooms via lashings of white paint, huge historic rock and roll and Ibiza photographs, eclectic soft furnishings (featuring reproductions of old Pikes’ celebrity snaps) plus cool added extras like functional vintage record players, high-level mini-bar facilities and. more.

The famous Marrakech Suite (the ostentatious scene of Freddie Mercury ‘s birthday party) has been transformed into Freddies – the ultimate back-to-mine party venue, open nightly throughout summer with many of the world’s best DJs vying for a position behind its booth and in its tiny side room, the Bathtub Club.

The beauty of Pikes is that everyone is invited. Dine in the relaxed eatery, The Pikes Restaurant, sip cocktails and mingle with bands by the pool or shop for vintage designer pieces, jewellery, Pikes merchandise and more in the boutique. Rock and roll all night… and also every day!
