Concluding their summer residency at La Fundación Ses Dotze Naus, photographer Cristina Stolhe and ceramicist Andrés Izquierdo present “6” – a new exhibition at the foundation’s art space, La Carpintería, in Can Bufí. Their collaborative work invites viewers to explore Ibiza through a mix of bold sculptures and strong imagery, offering an evocative interpretation of the island.
Stolhe’s photographs complement Izquierdo’s sculptures by weaving a narrative that traverses key locations on the island, delving into themes of absence, history, and the night. The Necrópolis of Puig des Molins, secret caves, the cemetery of Formentera and folkloric festivals are just a few of the notable moments and places anchoring the show to create a dialogue between the past, future and present.
