Perhaps one of the Ibiza winter residents’ most beloved off-season events, the annual Flower Power celebrations held in San Antonio pays homage to the original bohos and beatniks who flocked to the island in the 60s and 70s through music, decoration and – as you might expect – incredible fancy dress. There’s a pre-party event for the little ones, dubbed ‘Mini Flower’ that takes place by the famous fountain at 12.30pm, and the main event – with a much more grown-up party focus – kicks off from 7pm in the special weather-proof marquee on the promenade and carries on well into the early hours.

Bring your friends, channel your inner hippie and be sure to get dressed up in your finest bohemian-inspired outfits – think feathers, flares, fringing and all the fabulous finery you see in nostalgic photos of the island. Local DJs spin the retro soundtrack for the night as thousands of revellers come out of winter hibernation and all the local bars and restaurants get into the Flower Power spirit. And remember, along with your costume (the more outrageous the better), all you need is love!
