In a picturesque corner of Santa Gertrudis sits the village’s oldest house, its whitewashed walls and ancient patina now home to Parada, the island’s newest and most original concept store. While the goods on offer range from small-batch cosmetics to funky trinkets, the principal raison d’être of this remarkable project is to offer homeowners a distinctive assortment of stunning wares to craft the most original interior design. Created by the multitalented Sophie Daunais, of Juntos House fame, this eclectic Ibiza interiors boutique is brimming with objects chosen with care and a large dose of playful insouciance.

Step down into the courtyard and you’ll be greeted by an array of wildly vibrant colour. Flowy dresses, printed shirts and bright pareos stand out against the whitewash, while a centre table sculpted from hempcrete supports everything from chic beach baskets and candelabras to a multitude of planters and petite serving dishes. Once inside, Parada reveals itself as a treasure trove of carefully selected items that span far beyond the typical Ibiza interior design offerings. Furnishings by the renowned Parisian studio Chzon provide a blend of minimalist elegance and charming detail and the shelves are filled with an eclectic mix of accessories, including fragrant candles and hand-dipped incense, tea sets, jewellery dishes, vases and quirky decorative objects.

Towards the back of the boutique is an impressive collection of tableware, including platters shaped like fish, dinner plates shaped like clams, boldly striped breakfast bowls, wood serving spoons and a kaleidoscope of dinner table candles. Adjacent rooms invite you to explore a delightful selection of toys, ornaments and fashion pieces because, in the end, one’s Ibiza interior design palette should complement one’s wardrobe. While Parada’s sister store, Juntos Boutique, located in Daunais’ much-loved restaurant Juntos House, offers a more romantic and refined experience, Parada embraces a bold and independent spirit.

Although Parada feels like a playground for Daunais’ creativity, there is a method to her madcap ideas. In showcasing mostly Mediterranean-made products, Parada extends a tradition started at Juntos House – one based on the support of local makers and brands. Like all her other projects, Daunais is meticulous in her curation, ensuring that every item meets her high standards. When it comes to finding your unique Ibiza interior design voice, Parada should be your first stop. More than just a store – it’s an experience and a go-to destination for those seeking something different, something full of character, soul and joy.
