The creative partnership between architects Lluís Oliva and Kimberley Díaz lies at the heart of KLARQ, an Ibiza architecture and interior design studio specialising in bespoke residential projects, sustainable construction and property development. Bringing together harmonious talents and a shared passion for Mediterranean living, the duo create contemporary homes that respond to the landscape, reflect their clients’ lifestyles and are crafted to have a positive impact on the environment. Natural materials, harmonious proportions and understated luxury define an approach that places beauty, comfort and environmental responsibility at the forefront. Each home is conceived as an individual response to its setting, with a focus on creating spaces that remain relevant, functional and beautiful over time.

Originally from Mallorca and La Palma respectively, Lluís and Kimberley arrived in Ibiza in 2012 and founded KLARQ a few years later. Lluís brings his architectural expertise and a talent for practical problem-solving to the design and construction process, while Kimberley leads interiors and décor, combining her passion for colour, texture and bespoke detailing with a technical eye. Their approach considers how each room will be used and experienced, from the tactile quality of materials to the interplay of daylight and furnishings. Their complementary perspectives allow architectural decisions and interior details to develop together, creating a natural continuity between the structure of a home and the atmosphere within it. Supported by a trusted network of structural engineers and specialists, the skilled Ibiza architects offer a complete service from initial concept through to the finishing touches.

The Mediterranean landscape and the island’s architectural vernacular provide the KLARQ team with infinite inspiration. Whitewashed walls, exposed wooden beams, organic shapes and light-filled volumes sit alongside clean modern lines and custom-made fittings. Each project is shaped by its plot and orientation alongside the needs of its owners, culminating in a unique design language infused with the island’s history. Indoor and outdoor spaces flow into one another to make the most of the climate, and whether the brief is for a new residence or a renovation, the Ibiza architecture firm gives equal weight to function, harmony and the everyday experience of island living.

As one of the first Ibiza architecture companies to specialise in Passivhaus, the international standard for ultra-low-energy buildings, KLARQ has built up demonstrable expertise in designing energy-efficient year-round homes. Passivhaus principles inform every project – whether or not formal certification is pursued – with particular attention given to insulation, ventilation and thermal performance. Indoor temperatures stay stable through the seasons and concealed filtered ducting brings in a constant supply of clean, fresh air. This carefully considered approach reduces reliance on mechanical heating and cooling systems, helping to minimise energy consumption while maintaining exceptional levels of comfort throughout the year. Additionally, the team works with innovative and ecological construction materials that create a high-performance structure alongside the natural textures of Mediterranean design.

Completing KLARQ’s offering is its property development division, through which the studio conceives and delivers fully finished residences to market. This integrated approach keeps one consistent vision across architecture, construction, interiors and decoration. From the earliest drawings to the choice of furnishings and finishes, the Ibiza architecture studio stays closely involved at every stage. Lluís and Kimberley’s working relationship brings together technical precision and creative sensitivity, grounded in a shared belief in responsible building and thoughtful design and resulting in a collection of distinctive Mediterranean homes shaped around the lives of the people who live in them.
