Set within the rolling valley of Santa Inés, Es Cucons Restaurant offers an authentic taste of island life. This beautiful Ibiza restaurant is housed within the 17th-century finca that is the famous country hotel’s main building, surrounded by pine-clad hillsides and lush farmland. Here, a market kitchen methodology is infused with a philosophy that celebrates simplicity, seasonality and flavour, as chef Ibrahim Fares presents a menu focused on Spanish classics and perennial favourites, plus a promise that special requests ordered in advance are more than welcome.

On warm summer days, take a seat on the Es Cucons Restaurant patio – dappled with sunlight and overlooking the hotel’s vast gardens – for lunch or enjoy dinner as sparkling starlight illuminates the fields. In winter, cosy comfort can be found in the stylish dining room, crowned by a roaring fire from day-to-night. As you settle in, order beautifully crafted cocktails, with or without alcohol, while you peruse the Ibiza restaurant’s A Taula menu, where the taste of Mediterranean tradition meets the island’s agrarian roots

Begin with a series of dishes to share, from artisan bread with alioli and olives and padrón peppers dusted with parmesan to 100% Iberian acorn-fed ham or the chef’s signature croquettes. Balancing rustic farm flavours with refined contemporary touches at Es Cucons Restaurant are plates like grilled fennel with goat cheese gratin; octopus salad with hummus and rosemary focaccia; or red prawn carpaccio with dill; or the Ibiza restaurant’s show-stopping grilled confit artichokes topped with romesco, Iberian ham or decadent foie.

Moving on to mains, the Ibiza restaurant‘s grill gets fired up for fresh fish of the day; lamb chops with rosemary; and grass-fed entrecôte among other specialties. At Es Cucons Restaurant, Fares and his kitchen team cook each dish with respect for the ingredients, using simple techniques designed to enhance the pure flavours of Ibiza. A skirt steak burger arrives indulgently layered with Edam cheese, truffle mayonnaise and shaved truffle, while boneless chicken with thyme is a comforting classic. Mushroom ravioli is doused in butter and scattered with crispy sage; pappardelle comes with melt-in-the-mouth beef cheek and a red wine rosemary sauce; and bucatini is served with artichoke, tomato confit and a smattering of tangy chilli.

Seasonal produce is at the heart of Es Cucons Restaurant and the kitchen’s very own vegetable garden supplies as much as possible. Diners at this charming Ibiza restaurant will often find juicy tomatoes, creamy aubergine, fresh zucchini, sweet figs and a collection of homegrown aromatic herbs making their way onto their plates, via side dishes like grilled romaine hearts; Ibizan potatoes with rosemary; and ultra-fresh garden salads. What can’t be harvested directly from the gardens is sourced from trusted local suppliers.

For guests of the hotel and foodies visiting the Ibiza restaurant, Es Cucons Restaurant is a chance to experience a side of Ibiza often hidden from view. With an ancient landscape stretching into the distance, a finca steeped in local lore and a seasonal menu that showcases the island’s abundance, there is so much to take in. Here, Ibiza’s history melts into a multi-sensory experience where flavour and setting create something magical.
