DESCRIPTION:Making waves in the seaside streets of Santa Eulalia is Olas Gallery – an exciting new venture by talented Ibiza-based photographer Sofia Gomez Fonzo. The stylish and contemporary gallery and boutique is dedicated to showcasing local art and deepening the connection between the creative island community and Ibiza lovers\, whether they are island residents or visitors from all corners of the globe. \nOpen from 11am until 2pm\, then again from 4pm until 8pm from Wednesday to Saturday\, and from 11am until 2pm on Sundays\, Olas Gallery invites one and all to drop in and check out its inaugural exhibition curated by Sofia: We Live On An Island / Vivimos En Una Isla until May 20\, 2025. Featuring works by Aguasopio\, Helen Sadler\, Liz Kueneke\, Sarah G Tur and Sofia herself\, the show is both a celebration and a statement on what it is to live on this beautiful little rock in the Mediterranean. Exploring the ideas of connection in a place sometimes defined by separation and expressing love for their island home\, the artists play on colour\, light and mystery through painting\, photography and installation. Olas Gallery may be new\, but with a show like this\, it’s most definitely found its voice.

SUMMARY:Baroque Biology Exhibition by Alex Valentina at In-Between Ibiza
DESCRIPTION:The cobbled streets of Dalt Vila are buzzing once again as the old town’s popular restaurants\, shops and galleries have finally re-opened their doors in time for spring. Located just at the top of the famous rampart entrance to the fortress\, In-Between Ibiza is the area’s latest must-visit gallery\, curated by founder Jessica Courtney and housed within a charmingly repurposed apartment – easily spotted thanks to its edgy\, blazing orange neon sign. \nThe first exhibition of the 2025 season is by Italian visual artist and designer Alex Valentina\, whose work fuses three-dimensional art with photography. Baroque Biology is a mesmerising exploration of nature’s wilder\, slightly messier instincts\, blurring the line between organic form and digital fantasy through a collection of surreal\, synaesthetic pieces that play with decomposition and beauty in flux. \nExpect otherworldly creatures\, luminous sea-slicked objects and imagery that feels halfway between dream and data. Like relics dredged from the subconscious or treasures washed up from some imagined shoreline\, Valentina’s pieces invite you to consider the tangled\, regenerative weirdness of life itself – all the more reason to make the pilgrimage into Dalt Vila. The exhibition runs until May 15\, 2025 and In-Between Ibiza is open between 11am and 7pm from Tuesdays to Saturdays\, with private viewings also available by appointment.
