Dinner at ‘La Era’ at Aguamadera Ibiza
Peaceful, cosy and open to the public all year round, La Era – the in-house wood-fire cooking restaurant within the incredible east coast Agroturismo Aguamadera Ibiza – is open for dinner from Wednesdays to Saturdays throughout the Ibiza winter. A roaring, crackling fireplace and flickering candles set the scene within the beautifully restored finca, further complemented by the tantalising smoky scents coming from the open kitchen, where chefs abstain from using electricity in favour of mastering the art of cooking on an open flame.
Chef Gonzalo Cerrato Laguna is the mastermind behind the farm-to-table, seasonal menus at La Era, with most of the produce plucked daily from the flourishing farm and vegetable garden adjacent to the restaurant terrace. Cuisine evokes the simplicity and purity of the Mediterranean, showcasing each ingredient in its unadorned glory, enhanced only with woody, smoke-infused flavours and complemented with fine wines and hand-crafted cocktails.
