Passion Pop-up at Yalla
Ibiza foodies can rejoice this winter season, as the island’s favourite wholesome dining destination, Passion Café, pops-up inland at its sister restaurant, Yalla in Santa Gertrudis, daily (excluding Wednesdays) from 12.30pm and 2pm. The pop-up menu features a mix of Passion specials, along with some Yalla favourites, including the Yalla Brunch – crispy potato with tomato and aubergine sauce served with poached eggs, tahini, zaatar, coriander and fresh sourdough olive bread to scoop and soak it up – and shakshuka or Turkish eggs.
Meanwhile, Passion devotees will love seeing their beloved Thai chicken salad and falafel salad being served up, Santa G style, along with hearty wraps like chicken and avocado – stuffed with extra goodness like cheddar cheese, baby spinach, tomato, sun-dried tomao and served with fried – and the falafel wrap which comes with tasty zaatar fries. The beloved Passion smashed burger is also on offer, along with the ketogenic bowl – grilled chicken, broccoli, avocado, kalamata olives, preserved lemon and more – all the more reason to pop in!
There’s also the Yalla specials, which are also served until the kitchen closes at 10pm: a winter-warming menu that includes tasty treats like lamb hummus with flatbreads; thyme tomatoes with creamy salted feta and sourdough; lamb or salmon tacos; the always-popular chicken in preserved lemon sauce with caramelised onion and kalamata olives, plus a hearty beef stew – just add your favourite sides like halloumi fries, sautéed kale, beetroot in labneh, sweet potato fried and much more, and you can create a feast of epic proportions to share, or curate your own healthy veggie-based meal. There’s truly something for everyone, with the Yalla sun-drenched terrace for daytime dining and cosy interior at night making it the perfect off-season winter culinary hub.
