Ibiza gets an even spookier twist this usual autumn, when the second edition of the Ibiza Halloween Festival brings a week of film, fantasy and fright-filled fun to the island. Directed by local filmmaker Adrián Cardona and produced by Pauxa Films and Eskoria Films, the festival transforms Ibiza town into a petrifying playground for horror lovers of all ages. Expect film screenings, live performances, art exhibitions and hands-on creative workshops leading up to the island’s biggest and best annual celebration – fright night itself.
The programme unfolds across key cultural spaces including Can Ventosa and the C19 Creation Centre, with daily film sessions, short-film competitions and special midnight screenings. Budding artists can join free pre-Halloween workshops in set design, prop-making and special-effects makeup, while the RICTUS art event showcases eerie works from local creatives. On Halloween night, Vara de Rey becomes the stage for the Monster Walk parade and Monster Runway, complete with live music, rock covers and prizes for the best costumes.
Over the weekend, family-friendly fantasy films and animated features bring a softer side of Samhain for younger fans, while late-night scary screenings keep cinema buffs entertained into the early hours. The festival wraps on Sunday November 02, 2025, with a closing ceremony, film awards and a final screening of a classic horror flick chosen by Cardona himself.
